Ride the DC Streetcar to Bars, Restaurants, & More

traveling on a train

Are you looking for a fun way to get around town? If so, hop aboard the DC Streetcar!

After more than fifty years, it returned to the streets in 2016 to offer better neighborhood connections.

Washington DC is nineteen minutes from our Clarendon apartments, and you can ride the streetcar to dozens of destinations including:

Duffy’s Irish Pub

With eight flat screen televisions and all of the sports packages, it’s no wonder that Duffy’s is always packed on game day. The chefs start their day early to make the batters and sauces from their secret recipes. They only use the finest ingredients, and all of their dishes pair well with the craft beers and unique cocktails. The menu features the best wings in DC, with popular choices including honey barbecue, spicy teriyaki, and garlic Parmesan. Other offerings include black bean burgers, shepherd’s pie, and beer battered fish & chips.

The C.A.T. Walk Boutique

Featuring designers from around the world, The C.A.T. Walk Boutique offers clothing for the fashion-savvy woman. The shop focuses on quality timeless pieces, and visitors find everything from Chanel to unknown Italian designs. Owner Carolyn Thomas has a key eye for fashion. Many of the designs are unique to the boutique, and Carolyn helps everyone express their personal style. Choices include jackets, dresses, and sweaters.

Solid State Books

Step into Solid State to discover DC’s newest independent bookstore and coffee bar. Owners Jake and Scott have years of bookselling experience and met while working at another local store. They offer a general interest selection and shelve an array of fiction and nonfiction titles. Solid State stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and also hosts book clubs and other fun events.
