There is no better combination than pairing wine with art lessons or savoring a delicious meal in artistic surroundings. Close to our apartments in Arlington, VA, you’ll find the following three venues, each of them mixing art, food, and drinks in creative ways:
This well-rated tapas-style restaurant serves a variety of satisfying dishes, including sliders, tacos, skewers of jerk chicken, and Vietnamese meatballs. For drinks, you may want to try their sangria or sample from an extensive wine list. Along with all of the delicious and reasonably priced food, what makes this restaurant worth visiting is its artistic entertainment. As you eat, you can watch artists work on paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and other beautiful creations. Feel free to speak to the artists, especially if there’s an item you may want to buy from them to decorate your Arlington apartment.
Muse Paintbar organizes highly rated paint-and-sip events. At their Ballston Quarter location, they organize painting sessions that teach you how to create a specific work of art. In one session, you may learn how to paint a snow-covered tree in moonlight. In another, the subject may be a woman in pink sipping champagne. At each event, you can enjoy wine, cocktails, or beer and order a variety of tasty snacks, such as BBQ chicken wings or hummus with toasted pita. You don’t need any painting experience whatsoever to have a great time.
Located in Ballston Quarter, just under two miles from our Arlington apartments, Whino is a restaurant and art gallery. In its 6,200 square feet of space, Whino displays stunning murals and hosts art shows. With each visit, you can discover the work of a new artist. At the same time, you enjoy a satisfying meal, which may include a charcuterie board or one of the restaurant’s mouth-watering meat or seafood dishes. There are also plenty of drinks, including beer from breweries in the D.C. area.
