Along the way, you’ll experience surf and play waves.

Fletchers Cove

Nestled along the Potomac River, it’s no wonder that Fletchers Cove welcomes everyone from kayakers to birdwatchers. It’s especially perfect for boaters seeking slower waters. The cove is accessible via a one-lane road, and you’ll wind through an 1828 stone tunnel before discovering all of the recreational fun. Mason Neck State Park

It was also a stop on Captain John Smith’s 1608 voyage of discovery. Today, Leesylvania offers a range of recreational opportunities, including fishing and kayaking, making it a great spot for a day trip from Arlington.
